Our Therapy Services
POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT
We’re here to help you understand your feelings and why you might react the way that you do.
Together we develop practical ways to manage your emotions to increase your independence and support long-term success at home, school, work and in the community.
CANCER COUNSELLING
A cancer diagnosis can impact every part of life – whether it’s the patient themselves, or the family surrounding them.
Having ‘walked in your shoes’ with lived experience, our team provides a safe place to help families talk about the complexities diagnosis, treatment, survivorship or grief. We’re here to help manage your emotions, reduce anxiety and learn way to cope during a difficult time.
NDIS 1:1 COUNSELLING
We provide individual counselling sessions which are tailored around your specific NDIS goals, working closely with your family and support team.
Our therapy supports capacity building, emotional wellbeing, independence and social participation.
LEGO-BASED COUNSELLING
An alternative to traditional therapy sessions, a fun, play-based way to approach therapy is using Lego.
This is a great way to support young people to build confidence, learn teamwork and problem-solving skills, and improve their communication skills while playing.
TRAUMA COUNSELLING
Our team are gentle and patient. We understand that specialised support is needed for those who have experienced stressful or traumatic events, and how these events can affect your daily functioning.
We’re here to walk with you and help you process your experiences, bring back your sense of safety and control.
GROUP COUNSELLING
Therapy sessions within a small group provide the opportunity to connect with others who may be going through similar experiences.
This is a good way to connect with others, learn new skills and share experiences in a supportive group environment.
Support on the Go: The QualityMind App
At TMCS, we use an app called QualityMind to support you between your therapy visits.
This is a great tool to help:
- Track your Mood: see how you’re feeling each day
- Practise Skills: Use the tools we talk about in therapy anytime you need them
- Stay on Track: Keep working towards your goals even when we’re not with you
By combining face-to-face counselling with daily digital support in the palm of your hand, we can help you build consistent habits and long-term skills outside of your appointments.
